ACNE TREATMENTS
The Dermalux Flex MD is intended to treat mild to moderate inflammatory vulgaris of the face. If you are selecting this device to treat acne, please use the images in the image gallery to determine whether the Flex MD is suitable for you.
Mild acne: A few pimples or spots, a few pus-filled spots, some whiteheads or blackheads.
Moderate acne: Some pimples or spots, some pus-filled spots, only a few small nodules. Many whiteheads or blackheads.
Severe acne: Many pimples or spots, many pus-filled spots. Some nodules. Many whiteheads or blackheads.
Whiteheads or blackheads: Many whiteheads or blackheads. No pimples or spots. No pus-filled spots.

Do not use on infants or children
Not for use with any photosensitive disorders (sensitization to normal levels of light) including Porphyria, Lupus Erythematosus, Photosensitive Eczema and Albinism
Do not use when taking photosensitive medication. If unsure please consult a healthcare provider
Do not use with active cancers
Do not use in direct contact with broken skin or open wounds
Do not use to treat your eyes, eyelids, or over the neck
Do not use if you have had a sunburn in the treatment area within 2 weeks
Do not use if you have had a plastic surgery procedure (e.g., hyaluronic acid or other dermal filler) within one month
SENSITIVITY TEST
Before a treatment is initiated, perform a light-sensitivity patch test to ensure that no adverse reactions occur.
Follow the step-by-step guide below:
Step 1: Place the LED Array over inner arm.
Step 2: Select all wavelengths using the guidance in the User Guide
Step 3: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on the Controller to activate a treatment.
Step 4: At any time if the skin feels hot or uncomfortable STOP using the device immediately.
Step 5: After 20 minutes, stop the treatment by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
Step 6: After the treatment wait at least 24 hours to make sure there are no adverse reactions, such as pain, discomfort, or change of skin texture or pigment (redness, swelling). In the case of adverse reactions, the user should stop use and consult a physician.
